Each week, a secretary from Northern Maryland says that she picks up a few scratchers to go with her morning coffee on her way to work, and while she's experienced some moderate success, she never could have expected a six-figure prize playing the Jumbo Cash game.

Jumbo Cash features five $250,000 top prizes, the second of which has been claimed by the lucky woman, who mused that she wound up picking it because of its purple color, calling it "a favorite."

“I’ve always had luck with scratch tickets, but not big luck,” she added, “I’d daydream about a win like this, but never expected it to happen.”

Sure enough, a stop at Wawa on North Philadelphia in Aberdeen was the place to be to start her work week.

When the woman realized she had hit the jackpot, she told Lottery officials that she nearly collapsed in the middle of Wawa before making an early morning call to her husband.

"My legs all of a sudden got really weak. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to stay on my feet," she mused.

"He works nights, so he was asleep when I left. After I was able to get through to him just how much we had won, he didn’t mind me waking him.”
